Embossing Folder Cards and Few Backgrounds

Embossing Folder Cards and Few Backgrounds

Hello Card makers and Bloggers
Its been a long time since I wrote my last blog. Was so busy after my Altenew Educator Program which I cleared in July. Yes you heard me right !! Finally I am a FIRST Australian Certified educator for Altenew . Yahoo!! I am very excited.
Now coming back to the topic. This time my blog is not about Altenew creation. Or you can say I have used some of the products from Altenew like their inks and sentiments to make few of my cards, but I had few Crafters Companions embossing Folders sitting with me so I though lets get some inspirations and spread some inspiration.
I have also followed Jennifer Mcguire for inspirations.
So here are few of the things I made:

I will try and Explain what I did with each of them one by one.
The one I took the Crafters Compaion Indian Summer 3D Embossing Folder and Altenew inks.

The Next one is the Crafts Companion Floral Fusion Along with Finnabair Metalic wax and Altenew Ink.

This one is just on white with Flourishing Frames

Trust me this was white paper and I have used crafters Companion Zen Garden , Redesign Wax along with picket fence blending brush

The Next one is my favorite and this Embossing folder is In the Garden

Spreading some love with Love Blossom

Now coming onto come cards which I have created

You can see the cards which I have made are with some of the folders which I have shown above. The Sentiments used on the cards are from Altenew.
Hope you all like it.
Thanks

DT Teresa - Shabby Chic

Hello!

I want to apologise for not sharing my April projects with you until now. The month was a difficult one for my family as my beautiful mother-in-law sadly passed away, suddenly, and it was not possible to find the time, inclination or energy to craft.

The project I am sharing today is very different from my usual creations. I found myself looking through the Auzz Trinklets and Crafts store for products that hit me with their shabby chic-ness.

I took a 20cm x 20cm canvas and covered it with Ranger/Dina Wakley Media Gesso in white and allowed it to dry. I have not tried napkin art before, but was keen to give it a go and found the perfectnapkin for a shabby chic project - a parisian themed ballerina displayed with a music manuscript - perfect! I separated the layers of the napkin and kept only the top sheet with the image to use on the canvas. I tore away the section of the napkin that I wished to use and carefully cut around the ballerina's legs. I used a PVA glue to adhere the napkin, brushing the glue directly onto the canvas and on top of the image. I would thoroughly recommend using a decoupage glue, as it designed specifically for this and I plan to use this in the future. The PVA seemed not quite right for such a delicate paper. Again, I allowed this to dry before continuing with my project.
I love The Crafter's Workshop stencil Mini Cherry Blossomsand I paired this with Ranger Texture Paste, coloured with a few drops of Ranger Distress Ink in Cracked Pistachio. I placed the stencil in the bottom left corner of the canvas and applied the coloured texture paste to bottom half of the stencil. I removed the stencil, cleaned it off with a baby wipe and then moved it to the top right of the canvas and applied more texture paste to the area. Although the stencil is smaller than the canvas, once the middle of the canvas is covered with other items, it gives the illusion that the stencilled image is continuous. This also was given time to dry. (Yes, I needed to be very patient creating this canvas!)
I cut up some small pieces of Burlap Fringe in Sand and adhered these to the canvas with my favourite adhesive, Ranger Multi Medium Matte. My favourite, as it dries clear and leaves no evidence of its presence; no shine, so it doesn't matter if it happens to ooze out from the sides of the object you are adhering.
I then arranged paper flowers onto the canvas that have been in my stash for a considerable length of time, so this was a great opportunity to use them. You can find a beautiful range of flowers in the Auzz Trinklets and Crafts store here.
The butterfly wings and Eiffel Tower embellishments were from my stash, as was the frame sticker around the lovely sentiment which comes from the Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz stamp set, Urban Chic.
To complete the canvas, I took a sponge finger dauber and appliedTsukineko Golden Glitz ink to the entire canvas, apart from the inside of the framed sentiment.
Thankyou for following along with me today. Please feel free to ask questions if anything needs clarifying. If you cannot find the items I have used (listed below) in the Auzz Trinklets and Crafts store, be sure to drop Neha a message via email or Facebook and she will do what she can to order the product in for you.
Happy crafting and have a great day!

DT Deni - Shabby

Good Morning DT Deni with you today :-) April is the month of shabby chic.. now I'm not a shabby kind of girl so this is a hard one for me to work with haha. I've done my best and hope to inspire you to do better.

Today I have used a few Auzz Trinklets N Crafts items to create my card. Lets talk process and we will work through it all. I started with some cheap papers from Kmart/Cheap Shop, I loved the colours in them and that's what inspired me to put this card together. I decided to cut th circle and border from the My Favorite Things Stitched Circle Scallop Frames Dies (I do have the scallop circles somewhere but these were on my desk from a recent haul).

I decided to finish the layering of those with a Kaisercraft Doily. The background paper was still a little heavy so u decided to cut a banner from My Favorite Things Stitched Fishtail Flags using another paper. Between sticking everything down I decided to add some lace and some cheesecloth to try and shabby it up a little. The sentiment is a die set from My Favorite Things called Well Wishes Die Namics which I cut using some left over a Kaisercraft cardstock from another project. I also cut a mat for the whole layout using the same card. Everything was adhered using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive (mainly because It was sitting in front of me and my ATG is in another room). Once all was completed I attached it to a pre-made Twiddleybitz card base.

The image is a La La Land Crafts rubber stamp, it is currently not available to purchase unless you are a stamp club subscriber. They do have quite a lot of other gorgeous stamps which are available to purchase through Auzz Trinklets and Crafts. I stamped the image (Marci) on Mondi Color Copy using Memento Tuxedo Black with my Fiskars Stamp Press, I then coloured her up using Copic Markers, I fussy cut the image using my EK Success Cutterpede Scissors (these are fantastic for fussy cutting as they are sharp and have a nice point to them). I also added some clear Wink Of Stella to the heart on her shirt and the headband just to give her a little extra glam. Thankyou for stopping by and we hope to see you again soon, Deni

MFT Friends Furever by DT MEETU

Hello Everyone,

Its been long since I have written a post., so here I am sharing my card using MFT Friends Forever Stamp and Die Set..

he ready card measures 8 3/4″ X 5″. An unusual size, but I had to increase the size for proper placement of the flop circles.

Here is the rough draft I drew, before proceeding with the card.

I measured and found the diameter of the flop circle to be 2 3/4″, the length of the card was calculated by adding 1/4″+ 2 3/4″ + 2 3/4″ + 2 3/4″ + 1/4″ = 8 3/4″

Then I took two sheets of Neenah Solar White Cardstock measuring 8 3/4″ X 7 1/2″ and 8 3/4″ X 7″.

I started creating the base of the card by scoring the first sheet at 1 1/2″ , 3″, 5 1/2″ and then 7″. Please note a small section of 1/2″ will be left. We will use this to attach the second sheet. Now the second sheet to be scored at 2 1/2″ and 4″.

After scoring, I stuck both the sheets together to form the base of the card. I then went on to place the Dienamics Flop Card – Circle die on the base to create the flop elements. Here is a rough sketch of the how I placed the die.

I then matted the base with some pattern papers keeping in mind the MFT Color Challenge

I have also used Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched STAX – Circle dies.

I had colored my images using Copic Sketch Markers and then stuck the same using some foam tape to give extra dimensions. The markers I have used are:

Bear : E47, E44, E43, E41

Dog: C5, C3, C1, C0

In the end I stamped sentiments from the same set and also one from MFT Because You stamp set.

Hope you all like my card, please do share your views in the comments below.

Happy Crafting

DT Teresa - Romance 2

Hello! I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's Day yesterday, whether or not you celebrated the day designated for love!

Today I am sharing a card that fits the bill for Romance, our theme for February here on the Auzz Trinklets and Crafts blog.

This card uses Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Smooth Solar White Cardstock for the base which is cut with a paper trimmer at 4 ¼“ x 11” and scored with a teflon bone folder at 5 ½“ to make a top folding card of 5 ½“ x 4 ¼”.
I chose My Favorite Things Cookie Crumbs and the coordinating My Favorite Things Dienamics set You're the Milk to my Cookie for this project.
I used the sprinkles/hundreds and thousands stamp meant for a cookie and stamped it multiple times onto the card base with Altenew Crisp Dye Ink in Frosty Pink.
The layered frames were die cut from Neenah Classic Crest 80lb Smooth Solar White Cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles dies. I lined up the outside die with the third largest die to create the first frame and then used the outside die with the second largest die to create the top frame and adhered them together using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape and stuck these to the card base with double sided tape.
I cut four milk bottles from Neenah Classic Crest 80lb Smooth Solar White Cardstock and glued them together to create a dimensional piece and did the same with kraft cardstock to create the cookie, using the larger of the two circular dies in the set.
My Heidi Swapp Minc machine then came into action. I foiledHeidi Swapp Minc Sheets using Heidi Swapp Reactive Foil in Light Pink, iCraft Deco Foil in Red and iCraft Deco Foil in Gold. I then used dies from the MFT set to diecut the pieces I needed from the different colours of foil using my Sizzix Big Shot machine. The heart dies came from the Sizzix dies set that coordinate with Tim Holtz's Stampers Anonymous Crazy Thingsstamp set. The foiled pieces left over, I put away for future projects. I used a shim when cutting the lid for the bottle so the debossing was a little deeper and more obvious.
I took the label for the milk bottle and heat embossed the word milkfrom the MFT stamp set using Versamark ink, Hero Arts white embossing powder and Wagner heat tool. Prior to stamping, I used an EK Success Powder Tool on the foil to prevent stray embossing powder from sticking in places I did not want it, then wiped away the powder once the embossing had cooled with a microfibre cloth. I was not sure how the foil would react to the great heat of the tool, but was happy to see that it provided an interesting effect and a wonderful texture. I think I will be using this technique again as it would be perfect for a vintage look.

I glued all the pieces together and placed them onto the card base usingRanger Multi Medium Matte before stamping and heat embossing the sentiment from the MFT stamp set with Hero Arts white embossing powder onto a strip of black cardstock which I adhered with 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. Again, I used the EK Success Powder Tool prior to stamping on the black cardstock, wiping the powder away with a microfibre cloth after the embossing was done.

I showed this to my husband once I had finished and he asked if he could write in it and give it to me. Ha!

DT Deni Love and Romance

Hi All,

DT Deni with you today. I have a card using a stamp set from Avery Elle

It is the month of love and Romance and I have created a Valentine's Card for my Boyfriend, this is our second Valentine's Day together and he certainly appreciates my cards, I am very grateful for that :-)

I have stamped the image onto Mondi Color Copy 200gsm using Memento Tuxedo Black. I have cut two circles from Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles (unsure what size as I have all of mine in the same pack together) using my Sizzix Big Shot.

I have coloured the image up using Copic Markers (You can see a list of the markers below) I have fussy cut the image out using Cutterbee Scissors - which I have just recently purchased and absolutely love.

I cut a piece of American Crafts Black Cardstock which I treated using an embossing buddy and using an My Favorite Things Stamp Set called Love You More I inked it up using Versamark Watermark Ink stamped it then added some Ranger Gold Embossing Powder and heated it using my Heat Gun.

Bella Wedding was my paper choice for this card, I have had this in my stash for quite a long time, so have actually been using it on the last few cards. I cut the banner using a stitched banner die from My Favorite Things.

I cut some mats from other American Crafts Cardstocks and added all the layers to a Twiddleybitz Card Base using my Scotch ATG.

I then added everything onto the card and it is complete.

DT Clarinda - Romance 2nd post

Hello Everyone!!

It is DT Clarinda here with my second contribution for February. This months theme is Romance. So with that in mind, it is my 20th wedding anniversary next month so I thought I would take this opportunity to make my hubby an anniversary card to celebrate.

Here are a couple of photos that show most of the items I used. I will list them all at the end of the post.

I began by stamping the image (whimsy stamps - bird swing) onto watercolour paper using Memento angel pink ink so that the image would have a 'no lines' finished look. I then painted the image using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours - I have many different watercolour sets, but this is by far my favourite. The background was painted using a wash of Lindys colour spray - Merci beaucoup mint.

I then ran this through the bigshot using a circle die. I cut a frame using a round rose frame die (unbranded) and glued them to my backing sheet which came from the Magnolia Lane paper collection from ultimate crafts. The large pink flowers started out white. I used the wicking method to colour them with bubblegum pink dylusions ink spray and then added glossy accents to the petals and rubbed them in ultrafine glitter.

I like to adhere bulky items to cards and LO's using the Finnabair 3D matte gel. It dries clear but flexible so will not crack off if the card is bent. I cut a small piece of cheesecloth and died it with Lindys stamp gang spray in curiouser chartreuse. I also edged the yellow flowers using Dr PH Martins Bombay ink in white. I then stuck it all down.

I finished it off by inking all the edges in Versa Magic chalk ink - Persimmon and Oasis Green and Kaisercraft ink in Berry and backing it in a matching colour. I then added the words LOVE YOU using washi tape by recollections.

Thank - you for visiting, see you next month.
Clarinda xx

DT - Tracey Romance

February is the month of Romance ?
Hello...its Tracey with you today to share a scrapbook layout I created!
The inspiration for my page came from an image in a book I was reading, with this quote next to it! I decided to re-create it and add a photo.
For the title I first tried stamping it, but it was not bold enough ( I managed to rub it out...you can probably see a bit...its now called a shadow) I then decided to die cut it, which I like a lot better.
The Boat is also Die cut.
I stamped the white background with 'Rubbernecker' Daisy Duo.
I embossed hearts on the sails of the boat, then embellished it with lot of bits and pieces from my stash. A favorite being the tiny heart buttons. XOX was also stamped.
Thanks so much for Looking
Happy Creating!
